This year’s report entitled “Reducing barriers to economic growth and job creation’ puts special emphasis on the importance of the tourism industry in job creation and economic development.
The National Competitiveness Council published the latest results of the report on the competitiveness of travel and tourism, according to which in the competition 150 countries, Bosnia and Heregovina was on the 90th position, representing the shift of 7 places. Croatia is on the 35th place in the competition of 140 countries. Croatia has maintained its position (35 of 140), compared to the last two statements. Among other neighboring countries Serbia recorded the biggest drop of seven places and now is on the 89th position, while Slovenia fell by three places and is now at 36th position. The most competitive tourism countries in the world for the third year in a row are Switzerland and Germany, followed by Austria and Spain.
